Thick-billed Lark, Boumalne du Dades, Morocco, April 2014 - click for larger image The Thick-billed Lark is distributed in north-west Africa from northern Mauritania through Morocco and Tunisia to Libya and in central Jordan and northern Saudi Arabia. It is found at desert borders and in true deserts mainly of the stony type where it feeds on seeds, insects and invertebrates.

It is distinguished by its huge, toothed bill.
