Yellow Oriole Icterus nigrogularis

The Yellow Oriole is found in north Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas and the extreme north of Brazil. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It favours dry, scrubby areas and woodland.

Essentially a yellow bird, it has black round the eyes, a black bib, wings and tail. It also has white on the wing which you might just be able to make out in the photo.

The photo shows an adult feeding a youngster which is out-of-focus due to its wing-beating but you can get the impression of the olive- yellow colour of the immature.
