Peru and Ecuador The Yellow-tailed Oriole is distributed from southern Mexico through Central America to Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in scrub and humid areas commonly close to water and up to 1,700 metres. |

It feeds on insects and other arthropods as well as fruit and it forages low down in dense vegetation unlike most
other Orioles.
Note the yellow tail and the yellow wedge on the wing-coverts extending to the white on the wings. |
