| Tierra del Fuego, Chile December 2005 The Patagonian Yellow-finch is distributed in southern Argentina and the extreme south of Chile including Tierra del Fuego. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in grassy Patagonian steppe but requires earth banks for nesting. |

| Identification is easy since it is the only yellow-finch in its range. Look also for the distinctive grey flanks and greenish-yellow shoulders.
