The Pacific Parrotlet is distributed in western Ecuador and north-western Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is the only parrotlet in its range and is found in scrub, forest edges and fields. |

The male has bluish-grey on the back of the crown and nape and blue on the wings and rump. The female replaces most of that blue with emerald green apart from bluish-green from the eye to the nape as in photo 1. | |||
