Another attractive parrot, it has an orange crown and neck, a yellow face and throat and a white belly. The eye is red and is surrounded by pale pink bare skin. The bill and feet are also pale pink. The green thighs and green upper tail distinguish it from Yellow-tailed Parrot P. xanthurus. Traditionally both species were included as sub-species of White-bellied Parrot P. leucogaster but the HBW and Birdlife International Checklist has split this. | |||
