OtĂșn-Quimbaya, Risaralda, Colombia April 2012 The Black-winged Saltator is distributed in the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador. See the distribution map at NatureServe. It is found in generally wet and humid forest, forest borders and secondary growth mainly between 800 and 2,200 metres. |

The head is mostly black with a broad white supercilium and a small white patch on the ear-coverts. It is bright olive above with black wings. | |||
