Amagusa Reserve, Ecuador November 2019 The Barred Puffbird is distributed from Panama into North-west and western Colombia and western Ecuador. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in the subcanopy and borders of forest and woodland mostly below 1,000 metres. Like most puffbirds it tends to sit still for much of the time and, even when in the open, can be difficult to detect. |
