The Collared Puffbird can be quite easily overlooked as it sits perched in the understory of humid terra firme forest. It is found in the Amazon Basin.

It is a rich chestnut colour on its head and back with a white throat bordered by a black chest band and with a yellowish belly. Its bill, eyes and feet are bright orange.
