Amazonia National Park, Pará, Brazil September 2000 The Collared Puffbird can be quite easily overlooked as it sits perched in the understory of humid terra firme forest. It is found in the Amazon Basin. |

It is a rich chestnut colour on its head and back with a white throat bordered by a black chest band and with a yellowish belly. Its bill, eyes and feet are bright orange. There are illustrations in Hilty & Brown, Plate 19; and in HBW, Volume 7, Pages 117 and 124. |
