Australia March / April 2006 The Wonga Pigeon is distributed in eastern Australia from Mackay, Queensland to west Gippsland, Victoria. It is found in forest, woodland and some scrublands. |

It is grey with a white forehead and a grey breast with a white double V. The belly is white with bold black
spots on the flanks.
It rarely flies and is normally seen on the ground where it eats fallen seeds, fruits and berries. |
