The Little Raven is distributed in south-east Australia from New South Wales to the south of South Australia. It is found in a variety of habitats from woodland to farmland and cities where it is the common crow in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Little Raven, Port Elliot, South Australia, March 2006 - click for larger image It is slightly smaller than the Australian Raven C. coronoides with a smaller, more curved bill and shorter throat hackles. The immature, seen in photo 3, has a brownish eye.
