Graceful Prinia is distributed from southern Turkey across the Middle East into north-east India and south around the borders of the Arabian Peninsula and along the valley of the Nile. It is found in scrub, reed beds and dry river beds.
It has a long tail which is often cocked as in this photo.

The song is a rapid series of insect like notes.
