Al Ain, Abu Dhabi The Pale Rock Martin is considered by some authorities to be a sub-species of Rock Martin P. fuligula which is widely distributed in Africa and the Middle East. It is found in mountainous and hilly areas with crags and cliffs though it can also be found in towns and cities
where buildings are used as nest sites. When not breeding it can be found near pools and lakes.
It is similar to Eurasian Crag Martin P. rupestris but is smaller and paler with the back looking almost grey and the pale chin lacking any spots. |
