Al Ain Compost Plant, Abu Dhabi
March 2010

The Common Sandpiper breeds throughout most of Europe and much of central and northern Asia. It is mainly migratory and most European birds fly south to southern Africa in July returning to their breeding grounds in April and May. Birds can be seen in Abu Dhabi from July to mid-May with some birds over-wintering.

For additional information see my European page. There is further information on Avibase and recordings are available at xeno-canto.
