It is nocturnal and feeds on insects and fruit. Despite appearances it is semi-arboreal and climbs along thin
branches while foraging. During the dry season when food is scarce it survives by becoming torpid for 3 to 5 months between May and September.
When threatened it rolls into a tight ball. |
