| Giant Mole-rat Tachyoryctes macrocephalus (aka Big-headed Mole-rat, Ethiopian Mole-rat) |
||||
| Sanetti Plateau, Bale Mountains, Ethiopia January 2016 The Giant Mole-rat is distributed in a very small area in the Bale Mountains of Ethiopia. Most Mole-rats live and forage underground but the Giant Mole-rat forages on the surface. This makes it vulnerable to its main predator the Ethiopian Wolf Tachyoryctes macrocephalus. |
