The Stock Dove is distributed in much of Europe, western Asia and North Africa. The more northerly and easterly populations migrate south and west in the winter. See the distribution map at Birdlife International.

Stock Dove, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk, England, April 2018 - click for larger image Smaller than a Woodpigeon C. palumbus and about the same size as a Rock Dove C. livia, it has small black spots on the wings, a green and purplish patch on the neck, a mauve-pink breast, a white cere and a pink and yellow bill.
