Andalucia, Spain May 2022 This is the only spoonbill to be found regularly in Europe. The adults have a black bill with yellow tip, a bushy crest, and a yellow collar during the breeding season. The juveniles have a dull yellow bill and black tips to the primaries. |

They are found in southern Spain, the Netherlands and occasionally in southern England as well as central Europe to China, India and Africa. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. | |||
