The Yellow-throated Fulvetta is distributed in the eastern Himalayas, north-east India, southern China, Indochina and northern Myanmar. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is a real skulker and is found in the understorey of broadleaved, evergreen forest normally at between 1200 and 2500 metres.
