The Common Green Magpie is distributed from the eastern Himalayas to northern Vietnam, through Malaysia and Indochina to Sumatra and north-west Borneo.

It is green with a red bill and legs, red eye, black mask, and chestnut wings.

We found this bird collecting nest material on one side of the road before flying to a thicket on the other side where it was building its nest.
