Himalayas and into north-east Myanmar and southern China. |

| The male has a black head,
throat wings and tail and is otherwise yellow. The bill is
massive and horn coloured. The female (some can be seen in the flock in photo 3) is olive-green rather than yellow and greyish rather than black. There are recordings on xeno-canto and additional information available via Avibase. |
