The Bronzed Drongo is distributed in tropical south-east Asia from India to southern China and south to Indonesia. It is found in moist, broadleaved forest mainly below 1000 metres.

At 24 cms. it is a small drongo with shiny blue-green plumage and a spangled appearance. The tail is long but with a shallow fork.

It feeds on insects.
