The White-browed Robin-chat is distributed in much of Africa south of the Sahara. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in woodland edge, undergrowth and thickets up to 1,800 metres in Ethiopia. This pair were duetting in the woods bordering Lake Awassa.

White-browed Robin-chat, Lake Awassa, Ethiopia, January 2016 - click for larger image It looks very similar to Ruppell's Robin-chat C. semirufa but the white supercilium is wider and the tail is rufous-orange with no black.
