Ghana The Long-tailed Cormorant is distributed in Africa south of the Sahara and in Madagascar. It is mainly found on inland waters or on freshwater lagoons at the coast. |

In breeding plumage it is
blackish with a short crest. In the non-breeding season it is
duller. Photo 2 is of a juvenile showing brown underparts.
