Ethiopia The Dusky Turtle-dove is distributed in East Africa from Ethiopia to Malawi with a population also in the south-west of the Arabian Peninsula. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found manly in montane forest at between 1,800 and 3,200 metres though it can be seen lower down. |

It is distinguished by the black patches on the sides of the neck and the rufous edges to some wing-coverts. | |||
