Ghana and Ethiopia The African Grey Hornbill is distributed throughout most of tropical Africa except for the Congo Basin. There is also a population in the south-west of the Arabian Peninsula. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in savanna, savanna woodland and forest edges where it feeds mainly on insects. |

pale yellow upper mandible.
The call is a series of rhythmic, piping notes. |
