I came across this parasitic wasp when I was participating in a survey of the Horse-chestnut Leaf-miner moth which is causing a lot of discolouration of the leaves of Horse Chestnuts. With help from Bristol University, who were conducting the survey, Dr. Mark Shaw and Dr. Richard Askew, it was identified as a female Cirrospilus vittatus. Apparently this parasitises leaf-miners in general and has begun to parasitise the newly arrived (in England) Horse-chestnut Leaf-miner.
