The White-rimmed Warbler is found in the Atlantic Rain Forest region of south-east Brazil and in adjacent areas of Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina. See the distribution map at Birdlife International.

(The scientific name "leucoblepharus" derives from the Greek "leucus" for "white" and "blepharon" for "eyelid"). Its upperparts are dark greenish-yellow, the legs are a yellowish-orange, the tail is long and broad, the underparts are white with grey on the flanks and the undertail coverts are yellow.
