Chaparri, Lambayeque, Peru October 2018 The Sulphur-throated Finch is distributed in south-west Ecuador and north-west Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in desert scrub below 300 metres. |

It is very plain and the sulphur throat is not readily visible. It has a distinctive bull-headed appearance with a heavy bill and a short tail. | ||||
