|Small-billed Elaenia Elaenia parvirostris|
|Intervales State Park, São Paulo, Brazil
The Small-billed Elaenia breeds in northern Argentina, southern Bolivia, southern Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay and migrates during the austral winter further north as far as the coast of Venezuela. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in a variety of habitats including forest, woodland and gardens.
|It is similar to White-crested Elaenia E. albiceps but is greyer
above with a shorter bill and a third wing-bar (just visible in this photo). The vocalisations are the best way to identify this species.
