Chiloe, Chile November 2005 The Slender-billed Parakeet is a Chilean endemic distributed in central Chile from just south of Santiago to just south of Chiloe. It is found in Nothofagus and Araucaria forests where it feeds on the seeds and buds of the trees. In winter it can be found on farmland. |
