Brazil The Slaty-breasted Wood-rail is a bird of south-east Brazil and neighbouring parts of Paraguay and Argentina. It is found in forest and woods preferring marshy and boggy areas and is generally difficult to see. |

It is distinguished from
other Aramides wood-rails in the region by the grey on its
belly as well as its head and neck. Note also its greenish
bill.
