Compared to Common Miner G. cunicularia it has longer wings and a shorter bill. At rest, the primary projection is considerably longer than that of Common Miner and is about twice the length of the bill. Otherwise there are few distinguishing features apart from indistinct streaking on the breast. It feeds on the ground on insects and seeds. |
