It is found in the Atlantic Rain Forest as well as in surrounding secondary growth and grassland with trees in
the Pantanal. The bill is green to green-yellow and upperparts are black except for the rump. The chin and breast are whitish-yellow with an orange centre while the lower breast, belly and vent are dark red. |
