Chaparri, Lambayeque, Peru October 2018 The Parrot-billed Seedeater is distributed in western Ecuador and coastal Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in arid shrubby areas up to 800 metres. |

It has a very large parrot-like bill which is pale yellow in the male as in photo 1 and a duller yellow in the female shown in photo 2. The female lacks the black bib and chest of the male. | |||
