Pichincha, Ecuador November 2019 The Olivaceous Piculet is the piculet of Central America but it is also found in Colombia, the extreme west of Venezuela, western Ecuador and the extreme north-west of Peru. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. In Ecuador it is found in woodland and shrubby clearings up to about 900 metres. |

It is olive above and plain brownish-olive below. The head is black with orange and white dots in the male and only white dots in the female. |
