Linhares, Espírito Santo, Brazil March 2004 The Masked Yellowthroat is distributed from Costa Rica to central Argentina but is lacking from southern and western Amazonia. They are found in clearings, shrubby borders and near marshes. |

The male, pictured here, has a black mask, grey head and otherwise olive-green upperparts while below it is bright yellow. The female lacks the male's head pattern. | |||
