Colombia and Ecuador The Lemon-rumped Tanager is distributed from Panama to the Pacific coast of Colombia, Ecuador and north-west Peru and in the Magdalena and Cauca valleys of Colombia. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in thickets, forest borders, gardens, etc. from sea-level up to about 2,000 metres. |

The IOC and Birdlife International treat the Lemon-rumped Tanager as a good species however Clements and eBird treat it as a sub-species of Flame-rumped Tanager Ramphocelus flammigerus icteronotus | |||
