The Golden-headed Quetzal is distributed in the Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in humid forest at between 1,200 and 3,000 metres.
|The golden tinge to the head and the yellow bill indicate that the birds in photos 1 and 3 are male. Photo 2 with a darker head and bill are of a female.|
