The Ochre-marked Parakeet is a Brazilian endemic restricted now to a few remaining remnants of lowland Atlantic Rain Forest situated from south Bahia to Rio de Janeiro. It is classified as Vulnerable. There is a distribution map at NatureServe.

It has a black crown with yellowish flecks on the nape, orange-red to yellow ear-coverts, a blue breast and collar with blue also on the primaries. It has a red belly and rump with a patch of red on the bend of the wings. The tail is olive-yellow above and brownish-red below.
