| Black-and-rufous Warbling-finch (Poospiza nigrorufa) |
||||
| Barra do Quaraí, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil August 2004 The Black-and-rufous Warbling-finch is distributed from central Argentina through south-east Paraguay and Uruguay into south-east Brazil. It is found in shrubs, trees and gardens and is often associated with water. Many authorities, such as the AOU lump this species with Black-and-chestnut Warbling-finch Poospiza whitii (see http://www.museum.lsu.edu/~Remsen/SACCProp79.html for the discussion on this.) |
