The White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike is distributed in northern and eastern Australia, New Guinea and neighbouring islands. See the distribution map at Birdlife International.

The family of Cuckoo-shrikes has no relationship with either cuckoos or shrikes however the hooked bill seen well here in photo 2, is reminiscent of shrikes while the colouring is quite like that of cuckoos.
