The Pale-yellow Robin is an Australian endemic with two disjunct populations. The nominate race is found near the coast of south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales while the race T. c. nana is found in north-east Queensland from Cooktown to Townsville.

Pale-yellow Robin, Paluma, Queensland, Australia, December 2010 - click for larger image They are found in tropical and sub-tropical rainforest especially where there are vine tangles and dense vegetation. It seems to like the shadows as in photo 3 but it is not shy.

The nominate race has white lores and eyering while the race T. c. nana shown here has buff lores and eyering.
