Melbourne, Victoria, Australia January 2006 The Bell Miner is distributed in coastal south-east Australia from the south of Queensland to Melbourne. It is found in temperate forest and eucalypt woodland as well as in gardens. |

It is olive-green above and lemon-green below with yellow bill and legs. It shows a red triangle of bare flesh
behind the eye and has a yellow spot on the lores with black markings on the face.
It gets its English name from the single bell-like note of its contact call. |
