Pivot Fields, Dubai The Grey Francolin is distributed from southern Iran and the south-west Arabian Peninsula to the Indian subcontinent. In the Middle East it is found in thorn scrub and semi-desert and is frequently seen in the towns and cities. |

It feeds on seeds, berries and grass shoots as well as insects and small lizards.
The call is a loud series of 9 to 15 notes |
