The Common Myna is a native of southern Asia  but has been introduced to many other parts of the world such as Australia and the Middle East largely because of its ability to mimic. It is a member of the starling family.

Common Myna, Abu Dhabi, March 2010 - click for larger image It is usually found near human habitation. It is brownish with yellow bare skin behind the eye, a white wing patch and a white tip to the tail.
