Bogol-Manyo Road, Ethiopia January 2016 The Somali Lesser Galago is distributed in southern Ethiopia, Eastern Kenya and western Somalia. See the distribution map at IUCN. It is found in semi-arid country including Acacia woodland and thorn scrub. |

It is nocturnal and arboreal so we must have disturbed this Galago as it was resting during the day.
It feeds on fruit, seeds and small invertebrates but specialises on eating Acacia gum which drips out of the trees where wood-boring insects have attacked. |
