The Somali Lesser Galago is distributed in southern Ethiopia, Eastern Kenya and western Somalia. See the distribution map at IUCN. It is found in semi-arid country including Acacia woodland and thorn scrub.

It feeds on fruit, seeds and small invertebrates but specialises on eating Acacia gum which drips out of the trees where wood-boring insects have attacked.
