Scotland June2005 The Green Tiger Beetle is the most common tiger beetle in Britain. I hadn't noticed it before, I suppose because I'm usually looking upwards for birds. It is distributed in Europe and across Siberia. It is usually found in areas with little vegetation such as moorland and heathland. It is a vicious predator catching invertebrate prey in small pits that it digs in the ground. |
