Spain May 2022 The nominate sub-species is distributed in southern Europe to eastern Ukraine and into north-west Africa. The other two sub-species further to the east into Asia migrate south in the winter. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. |

It is found in reed beds and likes to hop along low down where it also builds its nest. It is similar to Sedge Warbler A. schoenobaenus but has a whiter and squarer supercilium and a shorter primary projection. | |||
