The Little Tern breeds in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Some populations nearer the tropics are sedentary but the most northerly populations migrate south during the winter with European birds migrating to Africa. See the distribution map at xeno-canto.

The bill is normally yellow with a black tip as in photo 2 but can also be entirely yellow as in photo 1.
